Application advice
5 AI-generated recommendations to maximise your chances.
⭐ Lead your CV personal statement with sales target achievement — the advert explicitly prioritises "results driven" candidates who have hit KPIs; cite a specific target you met or exceeded.
📊 Quantify your sales impact: e.g. "Consistently exceeded monthly sales targets by 18%, generating £320k revenue across 12 months" to stand out in a depot environment.
🎯 Mention any experience conducting home visits, surveys or client consultations — the advert lists this as a core duty and it differentiates trade-facing candidates.
🛠️ If you have CAD or kitchen design software experience (even basic), name the tool explicitly (e.g. Winner Design, Fusion, AutoCAD) — the advert lists CAD as preferred and training is provided, so any prior exposure is a bonus.
🤝 Highlight relationship-building with trade professionals (builders, contractors, developers) — Howdens serves 460,000 trade customers, so B2B or trade-facing sales experience is directly relevant and should appear in your work history bullets.
