Application advice
5 AI-generated recommendations to maximise your chances.
⭐ Lead your Personal Statement with sales target achievement — the advert explicitly lists 'results driven with experience of reaching sales targets and KPI' as the top requirement.
📊 Quantify your sales wins: e.g. 'Exceeded monthly sales targets by 22% for 6 consecutive months, contributing £180k in depot revenue'.
🎯 Mention any kitchen, interiors, or trade-sector sales experience prominently — Howdens' trade-only model means familiarity with builder/contractor relationships is a strong differentiator.
🚗 Confirm your full UK driving licence and personal vehicle access in your CV summary, as home visits are a core part of the role and this is listed as a firm requirement.
🖥️ If you have any CAD or design software experience (even basic), name the tool explicitly (e.g. Winner Design, ArtiCAD, AutoCAD) — the advert flags CAD as preferred, so any prior exposure will stand out against candidates with none.
