Application advice
5 AI-generated recommendations to maximise your chances.
⭐ Place your QTS qualification prominently at the top of your CV under your Professional Summary, as the advert lists it as the first essential requirement.
📊 Quantify your classroom experience: e.g. 'Delivered KS2 lessons across Years 3–6 for 120+ pupils across 8 Leeds primary schools on supply contracts'.
🎯 Highlight your behaviour management approach explicitly — the advert calls out 'positive reinforcement strategies' as a key classroom skill, so name your methodology (e.g. Restorative Practice, PBIS).
🌐 Mention your Enhanced DBS registration on the Update Service directly in your CV header or profile section, as this accelerates Randstad's compliance process before September.
🤝 Include a line on your experience handing over concise end-of-day notes to class teachers, as the advert specifically references this collaborative supply-teaching responsibility.

Dear Hiring Manager,
Randstad Education's supply KS2 teaching role in Leeds is precisely the flexible, classroom-focused position I have been looking for. With Qualified Teacher Status and proven experience delivering the national curriculum across Years 3 to 6, I am confident stepping into unfamiliar classrooms, establishing clear behaviour expectations quickly, and delivering engaging pre-planned lessons from day one. My Enhanced DBS is registered on the Update Service, so compliance should be straightforward ahead of the September start.
My background in KS2 supply and long-term cover work has sharpened my ability to read a new class rapidly, adapt pacing to the group's needs, and hand over concise, useful end-of-day notes to returning class teachers. Across 3 years of primary supply work, I have covered maths problem-solving, guided reading, and humanities lessons for classes of up to 32 pupils, consistently receiving positive feedback from school coordinators.
