Dear Hiring Manager,
Cygnet Newton House's specialist inpatient rehabilitation model — focused on least restrictive practice and long-term recovery for men — is precisely the clinical environment in which I want to develop my senior nursing career. I am an experienced RMN with a current NMC Pin, a strong grounding in Mental Health Act 1983 compliance, and a track record of leading ward teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care plans.
My background in inpatient mental health nursing has equipped me to supervise junior nurses and support workers, conduct clinical risk assessments, and co-produce care plans with patients, families and multidisciplinary teams. I have experience facilitating clinical supervision, contributing to ward audits, and deputising in a clinical lead capacity during periods of management absence — skills directly aligned with the Senior Staff Nurse responsibilities outlined in your advert.
