1Question

Tell me about a time you provided exceptional customer service

A customer visited our store looking for a birthday gift but seemed overwhelmed by the options. I spent 20 minutes understanding their budget of £150 and the recipient's interests, asking targeted questions about their preferences. I demonstrated three suitable products, explaining the benefits of each. The customer chose a £180 item, appreciating my honest guidance about the slight budget increase. They returned two weeks later with their friend, specifically requesting my help again, which resulted in an additional £220 sale. This experience taught me that investing time in understanding customer needs creates lasting relationships and repeat business.
2Question

Describe how you stay motivated when working towards targets or goals

When I had a monthly target of £8,000 in sales, I broke it down into daily goals of £320 over 25 working days. I tracked my progress on a simple chart, celebrating small wins like exceeding daily targets. During a slow week where I was £400 behind, I analysed which products had higher margins and focused on demonstrating those to customers. I also asked colleagues for tips on their successful sales techniques. By the month's end, I achieved £8,600, exceeding my target by 7.5%. This systematic approach and willingness to learn from others keeps me motivated even during challenging periods.
