1Question

Tell me about a time you had to improve underperforming marketing campaigns

Our Q3 lead generation campaign was delivering only 180 leads monthly against a target of 300, with conversion rates at 12%. I analysed the customer journey data and identified that our landing pages had a 68% bounce rate. I collaborated with the design team to create three new landing page variants and implemented A/B testing across our £45k monthly ad spend. Additionally, I refined our audience targeting based on our highest-converting customer segments. Within 6 weeks, we achieved 285 monthly leads with conversion rates improving to 19%, exceeding our quarterly target by 8%.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to collaborate with sales teams to achieve targets

Our sales team was struggling to convert marketing-qualified leads, with only 24% progressing to appointments. I worked closely with the Head of Sales to understand their lead quality concerns and discovered a disconnect between our targeting and their ideal customer profile. I implemented weekly alignment meetings and created a lead scoring system that prioritised prospects based on 5 key criteria the sales team identified. I also developed nurture campaigns for leads not immediately sales-ready. This collaboration resulted in appointment conversion rates increasing to 41% within 3 months, helping the sales team exceed their quarterly target by £180k.
