  • You’ve held a valid UK Driving Licence for at least 12 months.
  • You’re physically fit (can handle parcels up to 30kg).

1Question

Tell me about a time when you had to solve a delivery problem on your own

During a busy December delivery round, I arrived at a residential address to find the customer wasn't home and no safe place was available. The parcel contained electronics worth £400 and required signature. I used my local knowledge to contact the neighbour who I'd delivered to before and confirmed they were trustworthy. I then called the customer using our handheld system, explained the situation, and got verbal consent to leave with the neighbour. I took a photo of the handover and updated the tracking system immediately. The customer collected the parcel that evening and left positive feedback praising the proactive solution.
2Question

Describe a situation where you provided excellent customer service under pressure

I was running 45 minutes behind schedule due to traffic when I reached a business customer expecting an urgent medical supply delivery. The receptionist was stressed as their clinic needed the equipment for afternoon appointments. I apologised sincerely, explained the delay, and offered to personally ensure their next delivery would be prioritised. I also provided the tracking reference so they could monitor future deliveries. I completed the remaining 12 deliveries efficiently and called the clinic later to confirm everything was working properly. They became one of our most loyal customers and specifically requested me for future deliveries.
