1Question

Tell me about a time you had to work under pressure in a warehouse environment

During peak season at my previous warehouse role, we had 300 urgent shipments arrive 2 hours before shift end. I prioritised the most time-sensitive items, coordinated with 3 team members to establish an efficient workflow, and used my forklift skills to move pallets quickly while maintaining safety standards. We processed all shipments within the deadline, achieving 100% on-time dispatch and receiving commendation from management for our teamwork under pressure.
2Question

Describe a situation where attention to detail prevented a significant error

While checking inbound cargo documentation, I noticed a shipment manifest showed 50 units but only 47 were physically present. Rather than processing it as received, I immediately flagged the discrepancy and contacted the supplier. Investigation revealed 3 high-value items worth £2,400 had been mistakenly loaded onto another vehicle. My attention to detail prevented a costly loss and maintained our 99.8% inventory accuracy rate.
