1Question

Tell me about a time you turned a hesitant client into a confirmed sale — what approach did you take?

Situation: A couple came into the showroom with a £12,000 budget for a full en-suite redesign but were nervous about committing, having had a poor experience with a previous contractor. Task: My goal was to rebuild their confidence and demonstrate the value of our end-to-end service. Action: I spent 90 minutes walking them through a detailed Virtual Worlds 3D render of their proposed bathroom, itemising every product and installation cost transparently. I also introduced them to a recently completed project of similar scope and arranged a brief call with that client as a reference. Result: They signed off a £14,500 project the following day, and later referred two further clients who together generated £22,000 in additional revenue.
2Question

Describe a situation where a bathroom project ran into an unexpected problem. How did you manage the client's expectations and resolve it?

Situation: Three days into a six-week luxury bathroom installation, the bespoke Italian tiles the client had chosen were held at customs, creating a potential two-week delay. Task: I needed to protect the project timeline and keep the client informed without causing alarm. Action: I contacted three alternative suppliers the same afternoon, sourced a near-identical tile available for next-day delivery, and prepared a side-by-side visual comparison for the client. I called them within four hours of discovering the issue, presented the solution alongside the original option, and outlined the revised schedule. Result: The client approved the alternative tile that evening. The project completed only three days behind the original schedule, and the client rated the experience 5 out of 5, citing proactive communication as the highlight.
