We're looking for a talented Senior Marketing Executive to join our team at Fisher Jones Greenwood LLP.

Are you a creative, proactive marketer with a passion for communications, content creation, and brand development? Do you enjoy crafting engaging stories, supporting digital campaigns, and helping colleagues shine through effective internal and external communications?

If so, we'd love to hear from you.

Our Marketing & Business Development team plays a key role in promoting the firm and raising our profile across the region. Supporting over 130 colleagues across six offices, we work collaboratively to deliver digital marketing, social media, events, design, PR, and internal communications that champion the brand and fuel the continued growth of the business.

If you're a motivated marketer who thrives in a fast paced professional services environment, enjoys shaping brand presence, and has a passion for telling meaningful stories through engaging communications, this could be the ideal next step in your career.

So why join us?

FJG is one of the leading law firms in Essex, but we're not a stuffy, overly corporate firm. If you join us you'll find a warm, supportive and collaborative culture where people genuinely enjoy working together. We're a forward thinking, growing firm that values creativity, celebrates new ideas and champions continuous improvement. With the investment and backing from being part of the Lawfront group, we're about to embark on a very new chapter of our history - one that will be both exciting and offer a range of opportunities moving forward.

By joining us, you'll enjoy:

  • The opportunity to develop your marketing skills across a broad range of disciplines.
  • Exposure to group wide projects and professional development through the Lawfront network.
  • A varied role that allows you to contribute ideas, shape campaigns, and see your work make a real impact.
  • A friendly team environment built on trust, collaboration, and shared success.
  • The chance to thrive in a modern, ambitious firm that values innovation, diversity and personal growth.
  • Being part of the wider Lawfront Group, meaning you'll also benefit from group wide initiatives, shared expertise, and professional development opportunities across a fast growing, well supported network.

What you'll be doing:

Working directly with the Head of Marketing, you'll support both internal and external marketing activity for the firm, helping deliver compelling communications and high quality campaigns, spanning content creation, digital communications, events, reporting, and brand activity.

On a daily basis you're likely to be involved with:

  • Creating and delivering internal communications that engage colleagues across the firm, using channels such as newsletters, intranet content, updates, and surveys.
  • Supporting the digital marketing strategy by researching topics, preparing weekly content plans, and contributing to social media and digital output.
  • Drafting copy for the website, blog, PR, and internal announcements, ensuring quality, accuracy, and tone of voice.
  • Assisting with reporting and data analysis to help management understand campaign performance and audience engagement.
  • Supporting the delivery of firmwide events - both online and in person - including planning, logistics, coordination, and on-the-day assistance.
  • Contributing to legal directory submissions (Legal 500, Chambers) and industry award entries.
  • Monitoring and responding to online reviews across platforms including Google, Review Solicitors, and social media, ensuring feedback is captured and actioned appropriately.

This is a hands on and varied role - ideal for someone who enjoys the variety of switching between content creation, digital activity, communications, and project support in a fast paced professional environment.

So how do I know if I'm right for the role?

This role is a role for someone who is keen to take their next step, who will bring enthusiasm and creativity, but isn't afraid to either roll their sleeves up and get a job done, or try out a new initiative - a marketer with a passion for communication and storytelling.

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Ideally 2-3 + years' experience in a marketing or communications position, and preferably holding, or progressing towards, some formal qualification.
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content for internal and external audiences.
  • Experience with digital tools such as WordPress, Campaign Monitor, Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, and social media platforms.
  • Good understanding of marketing principles and the confidence to work across multiple channels.
  • An ability to manage deadlines in a busy environment.
  • An interest in professional services or experience in a similar sector.

Most importantly, you'll bring initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to get involved in a broad range of projects - from content and campaigns to events and internal communications - all mixed with an eye on the commercial return and the reason why.

If you're excited by the opportunity to build your marketing career at one of Essex's leading law firms, we'd love to hear from you. Click below to apply.

1Question

Tell me about a time when you had to create communications for a diverse audience across multiple locations.

When I worked at a regional consultancy with 95 staff across 4 offices, I was tasked with launching a new internal newsletter. The challenge was creating content that resonated with both senior partners and junior staff in different specialisms. I conducted surveys at each location to understand their preferences and developed a segmented approach. I created distinct sections for company news, professional development, and office-specific updates. The newsletter achieved 84% open rates and 67% click-through rates, with feedback showing improved internal communication satisfaction scores from 3.2 to 4.6 out of 5.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to balance creative ideas with brand guidelines in a professional services environment.

While managing social media for a law firm, I wanted to create more engaging content but had to work within strict professional guidelines. I proposed a 'Legal Myth Busters' video series that would be educational yet entertaining. I worked closely with the compliance team to ensure all content met regulatory requirements while maintaining our creative vision. I developed a content approval process and created 12 videos over 6 months. The series generated 156% more engagement than our previous content and attracted 23 new client enquiries, proving that creativity and compliance could work together effectively.
