Hays is working with a leading and fast-growing professional services firm, supporting them in recruiting an experienced Senior Manager to join its Accounts and Business Advisory Services team.

Your new role
As an Accounts and Business Advisory Senior Manager, you will take ownership of a complex portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality financial reporting and advisory services while acting as a trusted business partner.You will play a key role in driving client relationships, leading teams, and contributing to the growth of the practice, bridging the gap between strategic leadership and operational delivery.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and developing a portfolio of clients, acting as a primary point of contact
- Delivering and reviewing statutory accounts, management reports and corporate tax compliance
- Providing strategic, commercially focused advice to support client growth
- Leading client meetings and building long-term relationships to identify additional opportunities
- Overseeing workflow, deadlines, and team performance to ensure high-quality delivery
- Collaborating with specialists across tax, audit and advisory on more complex matters
- Supporting business development activity, including networking and identifying new work opportunities
- Coaching, mentoring and developing junior team members to build a high-performing team
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualified or qualified by experience, with a strong background in accountancy practice.
You will also demonstrate:
- Extensive experience managing client portfolios within practice
- Strong technical expertise across accounts preparation, corporate tax and advisory
- The ability to interpret financial information and provide strategic, value-add advice
- Proven experience leading and developing teams
- Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior stakeholders
- A proactive and commercial mindset, with a focus on identifying growth opportunities
- A strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement and client service
