1Question

Tell me about a time when you had to work as part of a team to meet production targets

During a particularly busy period, our production line was running 2 hours behind schedule due to a morning equipment delay. I collaborated with 5 team members to reorganise our workflow, with 2 colleagues focusing on quality checks while I operated the main assembly station alongside another operator. We implemented a buddy system for faster product handling and maintained constant communication about our progress. Through this coordinated effort, we recovered the lost time and actually exceeded our daily target of 1,800 units by producing 1,950 units, ensuring the customer order was fulfilled on schedule.
2Question

Describe a situation where you identified a quality issue - how did you handle it?

While conducting routine quality inspections, I noticed that 12 products in a batch of 200 had inconsistent surface finishes that didn't meet our quality standards. I immediately stopped the production line and reported the issue to my supervisor, documenting the defect details and batch numbers. I worked with the maintenance team to identify that a worn component in the finishing station was causing the problem. We replaced the component, re-ran quality checks on 50 test pieces, and resumed production once standards were restored. This quick action prevented 400+ potentially defective products from reaching customers.
