1Question

Tell me about a time when you had to manage competing priorities from multiple senior executives

During quarterly board preparation, I faced conflicting deadlines when the Chair needed urgent travel arrangements while three committee chairs required meeting papers within 48 hours. I prioritised by impact and urgency, delegating the travel booking to our office manager while focusing on the governance documentation. I created a shared timeline showing all stakeholders when their materials would be ready, then worked systematically through each committee's requirements. I completed all board papers 24 hours early and secured the Chair's preferred flight options, ensuring smooth operations for all executives involved.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to handle highly confidential information with discretion

When managing board recruitment for a new director position, I handled sensitive candidate information including salary negotiations and background checks for 8 applicants. I established secure file protocols using encrypted folders and limited access to essential personnel only. During the 6-week process, I coordinated confidential interviews without revealing candidate identities to non-essential staff, maintained separate communication channels for each stakeholder, and ensured all documentation was properly disposed of post-appointment. The successful recruitment remained confidential until the official announcement, protecting both candidate privacy and organisational integrity.
