Description
The duties of the Management Accountant include:
- Designing and embedding approval workflows, authorisation levels, and access controls within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Supporting the rollout and optimisation of Continia Document Capture, Expense Management and Creditsafe
- Enhancing finance workflows, automation, validation rules, and posting restrictions
- Documenting end-to-end finance processes, workflows, and SOPs
- Overseeing expense management, corporate card, and Amazon Business reconciliations
- Producing monthly management accounts, including journals, accruals, prepayments, and variance analysis
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, ensuring MTD compliance and robust control account reconciliation
- Designing and embedding a strong internal control and segregation of duties framework
- Creating and maintaining a Delegation of Authority matrix
- Implementing master-data governance and audit trails
- Training finance and operational teams and supporting change management initiatives
Profile
This role would suit a commercially aware Management Accountant who enjoys bringing structure, clarity, and control into evolving environments.
You'll ideally have:
- ACCA or CIMA qualification (or be part-qualified)
- Strong experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Exposure to Continia and Creditsafe (or similar systems)
- A solid understanding of internal controls, governance, and segregation of duties
- Excellent communication skills and a process-improvement mindset
