1Question

Tell me about a time when you had to deal with a difficult customer during a delivery

A restaurant owner was frustrated when their Friday delivery was 2 hours late due to traffic delays, threatening to switch suppliers. I acknowledged their concern and explained the delay, then offered to prioritise their weekend delivery and provide my direct contact for future issues. I also helped them reorganise their storage to accommodate the late delivery efficiently. The customer appreciated the personal attention and remained with us, even recommending our service to 3 other local businesses.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to work under pressure to meet tight delivery deadlines

During a busy December period, I had 18 deliveries scheduled but my usual route was blocked by roadworks. I quickly replanned the route using local knowledge, starting with the most time-sensitive customers first. I called ahead to inform customers of revised timings and worked through my lunch break to complete all deliveries. Despite the challenges, I finished 30 minutes ahead of schedule and received positive feedback from 12 customers for keeping them informed throughout the day.
