Are you a technically strong Financial Accountant available at short notice and looking for your next interim challenge?

We're partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed organisation based in Northampton that is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the business on an initial 3 month contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly acquisitive business at a key stage of its growth journey, taking ownership of acquisition accounting, statutory reporting, audit management and financial control activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead acquisition accounting activities and support post-acquisition integration
• Manage key aspects of the group audit process
• Prepare statutory accounts and consolidation entries
• Oversee VAT returns and FCA reporting requirements
• Support tax compliance and liaise with external advisors
• Deliver meaningful financial analysis and reporting
• Partner with stakeholders across finance and the wider business

About You

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• 3+ years PQE
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
• Previous acquisition accounting experience (desirable)
• Experience gained within both practice and industry environments (desirable)
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• CaseWare (or similar) experience desirable
• Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, evolving business environment
