1Question

Tell me about a time when you had to complete multiple repairs within a tight deadline

During a particularly busy week, I was assigned 8 vehicles requiring SMART repairs before a weekend delivery deadline. I prioritised the work by repair complexity and created a detailed schedule. I started with 3 alloy wheel refurbishments in the morning, followed by paintwork touch-ups on 4 vehicles, and finished with interior cleaning on the final vehicle. By working systematically and maintaining quality checks at each stage, I completed all repairs 2 hours ahead of schedule with zero rework required, ensuring all vehicles were ready for customer collection.
2Question

Describe a situation where you identified a quality issue and how you resolved it

While inspecting a completed alloy wheel refurbishment, I noticed the paint finish had slight orange peel texture that didn't meet our quality standards. Rather than letting it pass, I immediately flagged the issue to my supervisor and re-sanded the affected area. I applied a fresh base coat and top coat using proper spray gun technique, then wet-sanded and polished to achieve a mirror finish. The rework took an additional 90 minutes but resulted in a perfect finish that exceeded customer expectations and maintained our 98% quality rating.
