1Question

Tell me about a time you managed multiple concurrent client projects with competing deadlines

I was managing 4 procurement implementations simultaneously when 2 clients accelerated their go-live dates by 6 weeks. I immediately conducted a resource assessment and identified that the Coupa implementation required 3 additional consultants while the SAP Ariba project needed specialist configuration support. I negotiated with both clients to stagger their UAT phases, allowing my team to focus intensively on each platform. I also implemented daily standups and weekly stakeholder updates to maintain visibility. The result was delivering both projects on their revised timelines with 97% user acceptance scores and no budget overruns.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to influence senior stakeholders who were resistant to change

During a Source-to-Pay transformation, the CFO was reluctant to adopt automated approval workflows, preferring manual sign-offs for all purchases above £500. I arranged a demonstration showing how the new system would maintain his oversight whilst reducing approval time from 8 days to 2 days. I presented data showing that 78% of delayed purchases were due to approval bottlenecks, costing £45,000 in missed early payment discounts annually. I also proposed a phased approach starting with £1,000 threshold. After seeing the efficiency gains in month 1, he agreed to the full automation, resulting in 65% faster procurement cycles.
