Are you looking to benefit from a new career in Software Development?

Skills shortages in the IT sector is driving the need for qualified, entry-level career seekers and career changers.

We help place graduates from this programme in top UK companies and organisations needing to employ entry-level software development staff that can hit the ground running with up-to-date skills gained from this programme.

The best part is you will not need any previous experience as fully accredited training, which includes tutor support and mentoring, provides you with the skills, practical knowledge, and qualifications for you to secure a professional job and career in coding. You will also have the reassurance of a job guarantee (£25K-£40K) upon completion.

Whether you are working full-time, part-time or are unemployed, this package has the flexibility to be completed at a pace that suits you and can be completed in a few weeks or a few months (step 1 to 4 below). Your job and career goals are completed in four simple steps.

Step 1 -HTML and CSS Online Training (*12 weeks)

The first step is completing a selection of professional and industry-recognised courses. We have carefully selected these courses to give you the most out of both your learning and employment journey.

  • HTML Essentials (6 weeks)
  • CSS Essentials (6 weeks)

The training is delivered via multimedia rich video tutorials, presentations, and quizzes through a portal that you study online from anywhere you choose. You will also be assigned an expert tutor and a support mentor to help you throughout your training.

Once the HTML & CSS courses are complete, you will be ready to move forward.

Step 2 -Online Training (*12 weeks)

The second step includes a selection of more advanced courses to get you up to speed.

  • Learn the Command Line (1.5 weeks)
  • Learn Git & GitHub (1.5 weeks)
  • Learn JavaScript (1.5 weeks)
  • Learn Python 3 (1.5 weeks)

JavaScript forms the foundation of almost everything you see on the Internet, so it will be essential! Python is highly versatile. You can use it for both small and complex tasks, and it is used across many different industries.

Step 3 - Build a Portfolio Website Project (1 week)

Additional Courses

  • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate

Step 4 -Entry Level Development placement (£25K - £40k)

We work with you to secure your first role in software development, website administration or programming, with a starting salary of anywhere between £25K - £40k. While working in your first role, we will release your second batch of training which is specifically designed to increase your development knowledge to help you develop your career further to become a software developer.

STAR answer examples

Model answers using the Situation-Task-Action-Result framework. Adapt to your own experience.

1Question

Why are you looking to change careers into software development?

After 5 years in retail management, I realised I wanted a career with more growth potential and creative problem-solving. The situation was that my current role had limited advancement opportunities. My task was to identify a field that combined logical thinking with creativity. I took action by researching technology careers, completing 3 free coding tutorials, and building a basic calculator app in JavaScript. The result was discovering my genuine interest in programming and the decision to pursue formal training. This programme offers the structured path I need to make this transition successfully.
2Question

How do you handle learning new technical concepts when they're challenging?

Last year I needed to learn Excel VBA for a project at work with no prior programming experience. The situation was having 2 weeks to automate a monthly reporting process. My task was to master VBA basics and create functional macros. I took action by breaking the learning into daily 2-hour sessions, using online tutorials, and practicing with small test files before applying to real data. I also reached out to a colleague for guidance when stuck. The result was successfully automating the report, reducing processing time from 8 hours to 30 minutes monthly.
