Creative Support have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Support Worker to assist the Management Team at our Thornaby Service. You will be responsible for supporting the team to deliver the day-to-day provision of support for individuals with complex Mental Health and Learning Disability needs.
As a Senior Support Worker you must have a good understanding of Mental Health and Learning Disability needs, person-centred practice, and have a real commitment to your development and to the development of the service. You will be expected to contribute to management team meetings and to partake in development opportunities. You must be able to lead a team by example, demonstrating positive practice and values at all times. We offer a supportive management approach for Senior Support staff, and offer a full induction and access to relevant training. We are looking for someone who has strong commination, computer and motivational skills.
Previous experience of providing care and support to people with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities is essential. We expect our Senior Support workers to be working towards or willing to work towards a role specific qualification. This is an opportunity for personal and career development as we offer good conditions of service and a supportive management culture. Experience supervising a staff team and devising rotas would be beneficial. Furthermore, a clean driving licence is preferable.
