1Question

Tell me about a time you had to hold a team accountable for underperformance.

When our surveying team missed three consecutive project deadlines, affecting client relationships, I implemented weekly progress reviews and individual performance targets. I met with each of the 8 team members to understand barriers and set clear expectations, then introduced a traffic light reporting system. Within 6 weeks, project delivery improved by 85% and client satisfaction scores increased from 3.2 to 4.6 out of 5, demonstrating how structured accountability drives results.
2Question

Describe a situation where you improved operational efficiency in a professional services firm.

Our property management team was spending 12 hours weekly on manual reporting, creating bottlenecks. I analysed workflows and identified that automated reporting could eliminate 75% of manual tasks. I liaised with our IT provider to implement new software integration, trained 6 staff members, and established new processes. This reduced reporting time to 3 hours weekly, freeing up capacity to take on £180,000 in additional property management contracts.
