1Question

Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer delivery situation

When delivering to a restaurant customer, I discovered 3 cases of damaged produce that had been picked despite quality issues. The customer was frustrated as they needed the items for lunch service. I immediately contacted my manager, arranged emergency replacement stock from our nearest branch, and personally collected and delivered the replacement within 45 minutes. I also implemented a double-check system for fragile items. The customer praised our response and increased their weekly order value by £200, demonstrating how quick problem-solving can turn challenges into opportunities.
2Question

How do you ensure accuracy when working under time pressure?

During peak Christmas period, I maintained 99.5% picking accuracy despite 40% increased order volumes. I developed a systematic approach: scanning each item twice on the handheld terminal, organising picks by delivery route to reduce errors, and conducting a final quality check before loading. When time was tight, I focused on high-value items first and communicated any delays immediately to customers. This approach helped our team achieve 97% customer satisfaction scores during the busiest trading period while processing 300+ orders daily.
