Occupational Therapy Assistant - SEN School
South Bristol
£92–£105 per day
Start Date: September
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist SEN school in South Bristol to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join their team from September.
This rewarding role involves working closely with a qualified Occupational Therapist to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, sensory processing difficulties, and complex learning needs. You will assist with assessments, help deliver tailored interventions, and support pupils in developing key life skills, enabling them to fully access their education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting the Occupational Therapist with pupil assessments and intervention planning
- Delivering 1:1 and small group sessions tailored to individual needs
- Assisting with sensory integration, motor skills, and regulation activities
- Supporting pupils to engage in learning and daily school routines
- Working collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Ideal Candidate:
- Background in psychology, childcare, care work, or a related field
- Experience or interest in supporting children with SEN
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
