Application advice
5 AI-generated recommendations to maximise your chances.
⭐ Lead with your Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification and current DBS status at the top of your CV—these are non-negotiable for this role and should be immediately visible to hiring managers.
📊 Quantify your nursery experience: instead of "supported children's development", write "Supported 15+ children aged 0-5 across multiple EYFS rooms, achieving 90% progress milestones in communication and language".
🎯 Create a dedicated section highlighting your EYFS standards knowledge and specific examples of age-appropriate activities you have planned and delivered (e.g. sensory play, phonics, physical development).
🤝 Emphasise your parent communication experience with concrete examples: "Maintained daily communication logs with 20+ parents, resulting in positive feedback on child progress updates".
🌐 Include any additional safeguarding training, paediatric first aid, or specialist early years certifications (e.g. Makaton, speech and language support) as these strengthen your candidacy for a nurturing environment.
