Our client is a well-established global manufacturer and distributor of plumbing and engineered components supplying the UK market.
They operate from clean, modern premises in Lichfield with excellent access to train and bus links, alongside ample free on-site parking.
Due to continued growth, they are now seeking an Internal Sales Engineer to join their commercial team.
The role will involve providing both sales and technical support to customers, working closely with internal and external sales colleagues.
Key responsibilities include:
Handling inbound enquiries via email, website, and telephone, resolving sales and technical queries
Providing sales administration support, including preparing quotations, entering and maintaining orders, and advising customers on product suitability, specifications, availability, and delivery
Proactively re-engaging lapsed accounts and qualifying general enquiries before passing opportunities to the external sales team
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in technical internal sales, or experience gained from a trade counter environment within engineering, construction, or building services products.
Applications are also welcomed from graduate engineers seeking their first customer-facing role within a structured commercial environment offering clear progression.
Comprehensive product training will be provided.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (no weekends or shift work)
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 depending on experience, plus an extensive benefits package.
