The successful candidate will play a key role in the assembly, maintenance, repair, and testing of hydraulic systems and components, ensuring equipment is delivered to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
The Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, maintain, and repair hydraulic systems and components.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, motors, and associated equipment.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Conduct pressure testing and performance testing of hydraulic equipment.
- Strip, inspect, refurbish, and rebuild hydraulic components.
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety standards and company procedures.
- Liaise with colleagues and customers where required to provide technical support and solutions.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Hydraulics Fitter, Hydraulic Technician, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and fault-finding techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and engineering drawings.
- Experience repairing and rebuilding hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, and motors.
- Good mechanical fitting and assembly skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred).
Desirable Requirements
- Relevant engineering or mechanical qualification.
- Experience within industrial, manufacturing, plant, marine, or heavy engineering environments.
- Knowledge of pneumatic systems.
- Experience working in a workshop and/or field service environment.
