Customer Delivery Driver pay starts at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

5 AI-generated recommendations to maximise your chances.
⭐ Lead your CV personal statement with your valid UK driving licence details (years held, clean or near-clean record) as the advert lists this as the primary hard requirement.
📊 Quantify your delivery experience: e.g. 'Completed 25+ doorstep deliveries per shift across 15 postcodes, maintaining 98% on-time arrival rate.'
🎯 Highlight any experience handling customer complaints or order changes at the doorstep, as the advert specifically calls out communicating substitutions and short-dated items.
🤝 Include a bullet referencing vehicle checks or van maintenance routines — the advert emphasises loading safely and completing roadworthy checks before every shift.
🌐 If you have worked variable or split shift patterns (the advert shows Sunday evenings, early Fridays, Saturday afternoons), note your availability and flexibility with unsociable hours explicitly in your CV.

Dear Hiring Manager,
Tesco's reputation for putting customers first is exactly what draws me to the Customer Delivery Driver role at the Twickenham Extra store. With a clean UK driving licence held for over three years and hands-on experience in customer-facing delivery work, I am confident I can represent Tesco professionally at every doorstep — communicating order substitutions clearly and completing all pre-drive vehicle checks to keep each shift running safely and on schedule.
My background in delivery and customer service has prepared me well for the variety this role demands. In a previous role I completed up to 30 doorstep deliveries per shift across multiple postcodes, consistently meeting time slot targets while handling customer queries calmly and courteously. I am comfortable working independently for extended periods and equally at ease collaborating with a depot team at the start and end of each shift.
