1Question

Tell me about a time you had to adapt to a last-minute route change

During a busy December period, I arrived at the depot to find my usual 12-stop route had been expanded to 18 stops due to a colleague's absence. I quickly reviewed the new delivery addresses and reorganised my loading sequence to maintain efficiency. I contacted the additional customers to confirm delivery windows and managed to complete all 18 deliveries within my shift time, maintaining our service promise to every retailer. The depot manager praised my flexibility and I was asked to cover similar emergency situations going forward.
2Question

Describe how you handle difficult weather conditions during deliveries

Last winter during heavy snow, I was delivering to a rural convenience store with a steep access road. I assessed the conditions and decided to park at the bottom of the hill for safety, then used a trolley to handball the stock up the 200-metre incline. This took an extra 45 minutes, but I ensured the store received their fresh produce delivery on schedule. The store owner was grateful for my commitment, and I documented the access issue for future deliveries during adverse weather.
