1Question

Tell me about a time you dealt with a difficult customer during a delivery

Situation: I was delivering to a busy restaurant during their lunch prep when the manager complained that 3 cases of vegetables were damaged. Task: I needed to resolve this quickly without disrupting their service. Action: I immediately apologised, documented the damage with photos, arranged for replacement stock to be delivered within 2 hours, and offered to help them source emergency supplies from a nearby wholesaler. I also followed up the next day to ensure everything was satisfactory. Result: The restaurant manager was impressed with my proactive approach and specifically requested me for future deliveries, leading to a 15% increase in their monthly orders.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to work under time pressure to complete deliveries

Situation: During a particularly busy Friday, I had 52 deliveries scheduled but my vehicle broke down 3 hours into my shift. Task: I needed to complete all deliveries to ensure customers had stock for the weekend rush. Action: I immediately contacted my supervisor, arranged for a replacement vehicle within 45 minutes, reorganised my route to prioritise the most urgent deliveries first, and worked 2 hours overtime. I also called ahead to customers to explain the delay and provide updated delivery times. Result: I completed all 52 deliveries by 7pm, maintained customer satisfaction scores above 95%, and received commendation from management for my problem-solving approach.
