1Question

Tell me about a time you had to work as part of a close-knit team to meet tight deadlines

During peak Christmas period at my previous warehouse role, our team of 8 faced a 40% increase in daily volume with only 2 days' notice. I volunteered to cross-train on the scanning systems to support colleagues struggling with the new technology. I organised mini-training sessions during breaks, helping 3 team members improve their scanning speed by 25%. We maintained our 98% accuracy target while processing 1,800 additional parcels that week, ensuring all Christmas deliveries went out on time.
2Question

Describe a situation where you showed reliability during challenging working conditions

When our warehouse heating system failed during a January night shift with temperatures dropping to -2°C, half the team called in sick the next day. I maintained perfect attendance for the entire week, working extra hours to cover absent colleagues. I suggested we rotate between the loading bay and warmer sorting areas every 90 minutes to maintain productivity. Despite the harsh conditions, I helped process 1,200 parcels per night, ensuring no delays to customer deliveries while management arranged emergency heating repairs.
