1Question

Tell me about a time you had to deliver training to a challenging or resistant audience

I was tasked with delivering sales methodology training to 20 experienced recruitment consultants who were sceptical about changing their established processes. I recognised their expertise by opening with their success stories, then demonstrated how the new methodology could enhance rather than replace their existing skills. I used real client scenarios from their patch and showed concrete examples of 15% revenue increases from other teams. By the end of the session, 18 participants committed to trialling the approach, and within 6 weeks, the team achieved their highest quarterly results, with 85% adopting the new methodology permanently.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to quickly adapt your training approach

During a planned face-to-face customer service workshop for 25 consultants, a last-minute office closure forced me to pivot to virtual delivery within 2 hours. I restructured the interactive elements using MS Teams breakout rooms, converted role-play exercises into screen-sharing scenarios, and created digital polling for engagement. I also extended the session from 4 to 6 hours over 2 days to maintain interaction quality. Despite the format change, participant feedback scored 4.3 out of 5, with 92% saying they preferred the new virtual format for future sessions.
