1Question

Describe a time when you had to manage multiple packaging projects with tight deadlines

I was tasked with designing packaging for 4 seasonal products with just 3 weeks until print deadlines. I created a project timeline mapping each product's requirements and prioritised based on print slot availability. I scheduled daily check-ins with the client and prepared initial concepts within 5 days. By batching similar design elements and using consistent colour palettes across products, I delivered all 4 packaging designs 2 days early. The streamlined approach resulted in £12,000 cost savings on rush printing fees and all products launched on schedule for the peak season.
2Question

Tell me about a challenging packaging brief and how you approached it creatively

A client needed premium packaging for a £89 skincare product that would stand out in a crowded market whilst conveying clinical efficacy. The challenge was balancing luxury appeal with medical credibility. I researched competitor packaging and identified that most used either pure luxury aesthetics or clinical white designs. My solution combined pearl-finish white substrate with precise geometric patterns and subtle gold foiling. I created 3D mock-ups showing shelf presence and conducted focus groups with 25 target customers. The final design achieved 94% positive feedback and helped the product exceed first-quarter sales targets by 31%.
