Application advice
5 AI-generated recommendations to maximise your chances.
⭐ Emphasise your 5+ years of commercial industry experience prominently in your CV; the advert prioritises this as a core requirement for the Returners Programme.
📊 Quantify the impact of your previous roles: instead of "provided business analysis support", write "analysed 15+ business processes, identifying £250k cost savings" or similar measurable outcomes.
🎯 Highlight any exposure to the five FDM Practices (Software Engineering, Change & Transformation, IT Operations, Data & Analytics, Risk/Regulation/Compliance) in your work history, even if limited—this shows alignment with their service lines.
🌐 Include any Microsoft, Salesforce, or Cisco experience, or certifications you hold; the advert explicitly mentions these as available development opportunities, so prior familiarity strengthens your application.
🤝 Frame your career break positively in your Personal Statement: focus on what you've learned, how you've stayed engaged with industry trends, and your enthusiasm to return with fresh perspective and renewed commitment—FDM's Returners Programme values this narrative.
