1Question

Tell me about a time you had to challenge architectural assumptions in a complex project

During a financial services cloud migration, the initial architecture assumed all data could move to public cloud. I identified that 3 critical datasets required on-premise retention due to regulatory constraints. I presented alternative hybrid patterns to the architecture team, demonstrating how Azure ExpressRoute could maintain performance while ensuring compliance. This approach saved £180,000 in potential regulatory penalties and delivered the project 2 weeks ahead of schedule, with the hybrid solution now serving as the template for 12 subsequent migrations.
2Question

Describe a situation where you had to work with multiple stakeholders across different teams

I led the implementation of cloud governance frameworks across 5 business units, requiring coordination between security, compliance, finance, and engineering teams. Each team had different priorities and timelines. I established weekly cross-functional meetings and created a shared dashboard showing progress against each team's success criteria. By translating technical requirements into business impact metrics, I secured buy-in from all stakeholders. The project delivered on time, with 98% adherence to security standards and £250,000 in operational cost savings within 6 months.
